NetFront is a mobile browser for embedded devices, developed by Access Co. Ltd. of Japan, and was designed to function as an embedded browser. Mainly deployed on mobile phones, NetFront is available for multiple platforms and has been deployed in Multifunction Printers (MFP), digital TVs, set-top boxes (STB), PDAs, web phones, game consoles, e-mail terminals, automobile telematics systems and other device types. The browser converts tables in a Web page into a vertical display, eliminating the need to scroll horizontally. This allows the user to zoom in and out on Web pages from 25% to 100%, and can select or scroll anywhere on a page with the stylus on Pocket PC devices. The software can open up to five windows and the user can tab to any one of them. From Wikipedia under the

Q. how do I know if I have a PalmOS, Windows Mobile, Symbian UIQ and Symbian S60 R3 operating systems or windows based internet system on my cell phone internet browser? I have a Samsung propel with service via AT&T. When I check my browser on the phone, it says NetFront Browser. Is that a browser that is part of those systems?? are these:PalmOS, Windows Mobile, Symbian UIQ and Symbian S60 R3 operating systems or windows based internet system more prone to virus/spyware/maleware infection? what about the NetFront browser, is it prone to maleware/virus/spyware? If the phone uses some version of Symbian OS, it will display information about the firmware version number (SGH-something). The number might help determine the exact OS version. If it uses Windows Mobile, it should be pretty obvious - I mean, it has a look-and-feel similar to Windows for PCs and probably has "Microsoft" in half a zillion places. Note, however, that it might use none of the above - i.e., a proprietary operating system that doesn't have a name. In fact, most phones are like that. If that is the case, you don't have to worry - the phone is… [cont.] Answered by Vesselin Bontchev - Thu Jul 23 04:19:58 2009 modded psp HELP putting homebrew apps?
